Downtown Ice CAPE-ade

Calling All Superheroes!

Heroes Assemble at "Slice of Ice" on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 11 AM - 2 PM

Downtown Ice CAPEade

Soaring back to "Slice of Ice" for the second year, the Downtown Ice CAPE-ade returns on Saturday, February 11 from 11 AM - 2 PM. This family-friendly event offers an epic way to battle the winter blues with free ice skating alongside some of your favorite comic book superheroes and everyday heroes from the Milwaukee Fire Department, Milwaukee Police Department, and Team USA from the Pettit National Ice Center.

Participants are encouraged to dress as their favorite hero, whether it be a superhero character or a firefighter! A limited number of superhero capes will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Free ice skate rentals, presented by WaterStone Bank, are also available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Glow Bug Books is a literacy program focused on providing children battling a critical illness or experiencing a socially vulnerable situation with literature to aid in their cognitive development and empower them by providing a safe space for children to be themselves, explore the world and enjoy their imagination. Glow Bug Books donates to these three local Milwaukee nonprofits: Ronald McDonald House Southeastern Wisconsin, Sojourner Family Peace Center and The Milwaukee Rescue Mission.
