Mardi Gras Skywalk Festival

Let the Good Times Roll!

The downtown skywalk will host a Mardi Gras celebration on Fat Tuesday, March 1, 2022, starting at noon, featuring a New Orleans-style brass band, local drag queens, and beads, beads, and more beads!

March through the downtown skywalk with the Extra Crispy Brass Band, local drag queens, and over 1,000 beads!

The Mardi Gras Skywalk Parade will begin in the 100 East Wisconsin - Empire Building skywalk over the Milwaukee River, and proceed through the Empire Building, ASQ Center, Plankinton Arcade, and The Avenue. Catch show-stopping performances at the two new murals in the Plankinton Avenue and 2nd Street skywalks, and a final lunchtime performance in the 3^rd Street Market Hall. 

Participants are encouraged to join the festivities. Mardi Gras hats, masks, and beads are encouraged!

Catch show-stopping performances by the Extra Crispy Brass Band and receive beads at the following locations:

• 12:10 PM ETA: Mural in the Plankinton Avenue skywalk, between ASQ Center and Plankinton Arcade 
• 12:20 PM ETA: Mural in the 2nd Street skywalk, between Plankinton Arcade and The Avenue
• 12:30 PM ETA: 3rd Street Market Hall at The Avenue
