Heart(beats) of the City Milwaukee DowntownGrab your favorite pair of sunglasses for a lunch break in Red Arrow Park! Featuring nearly a dozen local and national bands, this year's concert lineup has something for everyone. In its third season, Heart(beats) of the City powered by MGIC will once again rock your lunchbreak with get-up-and-dance music each week. Plus, we've rounded up the area's best street eats from 11:30 AM - 1 PM. Concerts start at noon. So gather your coworkers and MKE It down to where the beats are bumping! 

Food truck and entertainment lineups are subject to change without advanced notice. All performances are weather-dependent.

The Eddie Butts Band delights audiences with a variety of events throughout the Midwest, delivering an exciting blend of R&B, pop, jazz, and more. With a blend of Eddie’s smoky baritone vocals & the highly-praised musicianship and vocal talents of this polished and professional band, the Eddie Butts Band is considered a must-see — and must have — favorite.

Listening Party

The Milwaukee-based band Listening Party has sought to create songs that deeply resonate with their listeners. Their folk and Americana-steeped sound expertly and reverently takes the pulse and traditions of their genre while adding their own charm. Pounding the pavement for over 120 shows a year throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest has led them to a road-tested live performance!

Charambo Latin Jazz

This unique septet is a modern take on a very popular Milwaukee salsa band from the 1980s called Conjunto Charambó. Reinvented in 2022 by the leader of the 1980s band, percussionist Alberto Rivera, Septeto Charambo aims to strengthen the legacy of salsa music in Milwaukee!

The Midnight Purchase

The Midnight Purchase began in late 2018 with songwriter Orlando Peña's abrupt return to Milwaukee, bandless, with a few hours of songs and a years worth of gigs already booked. Through the wonders of Craigslist it was that winter that the first iteration of the band was formed. As of now, The Midnight Purchase has signed with Spectra Music Group, expanding their music all over the world!

Come see Horizon's superb showmanship and outstanding musical presentation!

Jon Hintz has always had a love and connection to music. He has spent his musical journey as a solo artist, with duos, and full bands since the late 1990’s. Pulling from many different musical influences along the way, he continues to perform throughout southeastern Wisconsin and living a balanced and fulfilled life with his family.

The Kal Bergendahl Project (KBP) is a six-piece instrumental jazz-funk band.
Groove and melodic hooks are weaved in their deeply focused musical landscape of Jazz-Funk, R&B and Soul. Powered by a 3-piece horn section the group has released four albums in their "Parallels" series over the past nine years.
