A Celebration of Pride Month
“Massimals MKE: Rainbow,” presented by PNC Bank, at Cathedral Square Park
Just in time to celebrate Pride Month in June, “Massimals MKE,” by artist Jason Scroggin of Scroggin Studio, made its triumphant return to Cathedral Square Park for the summer of 2021.
“Massimals MKE” was first introduced in January 2021 as a playful public art installation, constructed with the help of students from UW-Milwaukee’s School of Architecture + Urban Planning at the Wisconsin Center. The sculptures were refreshed with a rainbow-colored palette and painted locally by Bauer Sign Company.

About Massimals
Massimals are 1:1 scale abstractions of animals built in the form of massing study models produced in architectural design practice. Cathedral Square Park first hosted Massimals MKE in January 2021, marking the first time the installation would be displayed outside during the winter.
About Scroggin Studio
Scroggin Studio is a design research practice led by Jason Scroggin. The office focuses on the revitalization of projects that present new ways to interact with built form from the scale of the city to interior environments producing internationally recognized and award-winning designs. Jason also holds a position as an Associate Professor of Architecture at the University of Kentucky College of Design. He received a Master of Science degree in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Kentucky.
