Panning and brooming all 120 square blocks of BID #21, not to mention scrubbing and power washing the streets, is our Clean Sweep Ambassador team. Helping to keep downtown Milwaukee litter-free and sparkling clean, this crew can be seen hard at work from sun up to sundown.

Beyond ensuring a spic and span downtown, the CSAs are behind the scenes assisting with downtown events. From installing over 28 miles of wire to light downtown for its seven-week Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival to arranging picnic tables for guests to enjoy an outdoor concert series, the work of this team impacts impressions of downtown on a daily basis.

FUN FACTS 

• In 2008, the CSAs swept away nearly 200,000 gallons of trash and more impressively, 1.8 million gallons since the inception of Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21.
• The CSAs scrub and power wash each block in BID #21 at least once a quarter.
